Take Me Out: 5 Things single women don't want!
The Take Me Out premiere gave us three really good things on Monday. One) Two dates happened. After much grilling of the bachelors, and the season's first BLACK OUT later, we ended up having Pheko and Luhle go on dates. Two) Phat Joe, because he is Phat Joe, and OMG! ... And three) We all learned a great deal about some of the things single women are certainly not crazy about in a man as they look for a compatible partner to try out this romance life thing. Here are 5 pieces of insights we are happy to have been left with after all that fun and madness!
GYM BODY IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
There's an assumption that hot equals a toned body with biceps, triceps, abs and other really good things that happen when a man has been a good gym attendee. Yet on Monday, Pheko found out that his refined physique can only take him so far, as a lot of the single girls just weren't vibing with 'the guns'. The saying goes... 'Stop relying on that body!'
GET OFF YOUR SUPER HEALTHY HIGH HORSE!
... Because it might take you on the quickest trip to nowhere. At least in the world of dating. One woman remarked that Pheko's guns were incompatible with the warm, tender loving that comes with much softer limbs from a significant other. Later, Luhle was complimented for having a belly. He was told that he does not look like the kind of guy who would try getting his partner to go on a low carb diet. Yikes.
A GOOD DANCER DOES NOT A GIRL WINNETH
We are talking romance here, so we had to go all Shakespeare at some point. The season's first black out (where NONE of the single women on the panel choose to go on a date with a bachelor) struck Durâo, despite all the dancing. To be more precise, because of the dancing. He is a happy chap, it later emerged when his background video aired. But that's when he lost most of the votes, confessing his love for cracking a move so brazenly. The last girl standing dropped out when he also revealed his love for singing. We are sure Durâo's lit moves would impress women most fitted for his energetic self. Unfortunately these girls just weren't for any of that on Monday.
Who would have known! Both Durâo and Luhle found themselves being declined because their haircuts just weren't bringing A game for some of the girls. Luhle was told, at some point, that the only chance for a date would require him to get rid of his haircut. But she's a nice person, and really didn't wanna put him through all of that. Durâo endured many harsh 'spaghettish' hair jibes.
THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT
We found out that height matters. Maybe it's just the single girls on the panel, but sadly...
Let's have more fun in the name of love on Take Me Out, Mondays at 19:00 on VUZU AMP, DStv channel 103.
