Life Sentence: Things To Do Before You Kick The Bucket

A guide to VUZU’s list of essential things you have to experience before you kick the bucket.

17 June 2018

Life Sentence follows the story of a woman that is diagnosed with terminal cancer and decides to live each day as if it’s her last in a series of epic, but also irresponsible adventures. In a crazy twist, she finds out that her cancer is cured, leaving her to deal with all the irrational choices she made. In anticipation of the show, here’s Vuzu’s own bucket list:

Facing your Biggest Fear

Whether you’re afraid of heights, small spaces or spiders, take that fear head-on, it might just be the biggest rush of your life!

Going to the FIFA World Cup

Even if you’re not a fan of sports, being a part of the electrifying atmosphere of the world’s biggest sporting event is a definite must!

Going to a Massive Music Festival Abroad

Glastonbury, Coachella or whichever festival’s line-up suits your taste in music, enjoying several days of live music from all the top musicians the world has to offer is a no-brainer.

Witness the Northern Lights

It might be much, much colder than anything you’re used to, but seeing one of nature’s great spectacles will make it all worth the trouble.

A Trip Down Hollywood Boulevard

Walk down the sidewalk of stars, take a selfie with the star which belongs to your favourite actor, maybe even visit the studio where your favourite movie was made. Spending some time in the home of the stars is what dreams are made of!

Visit all Seven Continents

Every continent has its own unique appeal and there’s no other way to decide which is your favourite other than to indulge in what each continent has to offer. Different food, cultures, sights, you can’t go wrong!

Sleeping Beneath the Stars

Kind of corny, but none the less, going to sleep with nature around you and looking up to a sky full of stars instead of a boring ceiling is truly something to behold.

Treat Yourself

This one is kind of self-explanatory. Living at least one night as if you’re royalty is something everybody deserves. Staying in a five-star hotel, being served like a medieval King, getting some of the best spa treatments available. It’s an absolute must.

Do That Thing You’ve Always Wanted To Do

Besides all the great and memorable things on the list, a huge part of life is taking risks. Ever wanted to finish making that song? Pitching that idea for a movie? Asking that person you’ve had a crush on for years on a date? Fight through that fear of rejection and just do it!

Challenge yourself

Do something you’d never thought you’d be capable of. Learn to play an instrument, run a marathon, learn to speak another language perfectly. Whatever interests you, challenge yourself by doing something you never thought you could.

Skydive

A cliché, perhaps, but jumping out of an airplane and feeling a rush like no other is on so many people’s personal bucket lists for a reason!

Swim with Sharks

Yes, really. Nothing gets the heart pumping quite like being face-to-face with a notoriously dangerous animal. P.S, do this with actual experienced guides, do not just jump in a tank full of sharks!

Seeing the Seven Natural Wonders

Pictures can be deceiving. Seeing some of the most beautiful, breath-taking sights our wonderful planet has to offer would be a priceless experience.

Go off the Grid

Not literally, but taking a trip somewhere, staying offline, not telling a lot of people where you’re going and just having your own little private adventure, disconnected from the rest of the world, might be something most of us would take for granted.

Go to a Massive Amusement Park

Feel like a kid again by spending a day indulging in loads of rides and activities at one of the largest amusement parks in the world!
