Breaking news: Kim Kardashian files for divorce

Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce. Wait, say what you might be asking? Well that’s a true story. According to celebrity website, TMZ, the star has filed for divorce from her (sort of) husband Kris Humphries. The reason? The infamous “irreconcilable differences”.

You’ll remember the star walked down the aisle on August the 20th of this year, in what many dubbed the American Royal Wedding. Well it would appear as though the fairytale wedding, which is estimated to have cost about $10 million, wasn’t so blissful. In a statement released to E! Online, the star says “”After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage,” she said. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

2011 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS®

Los Angeles, CA (October 24, 2011) – dick clark productions (dcp) president and executive producer Orly Adelson announced that Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5 will perform at the “2011 American Music Awards®”. They join previously announced acts including Katy Perry and Pitbull. Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera will team up to perform “Moves Like Jagger.” In keeping with recent tradition, the “American Music Awards” is a host-free event that highlights music’s biggest artists performing on one stage.

The show will be broadcast from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20th!

For the fifth year, winners will be determined by online voting. Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, and Contemporary Inspirational.
