Gala event ‘the biggest of its kind yet seen in South Africa’
For twenty-seven years M-Net has had South Africans laughing their heads off, staring open-mouthed at unbelievable, gripping drama – and not infrequently – crying their eyes out.
Today M-Net is an integral part of the lives of hundreds of thousands of South African families (and many more families across the African continent), a much-loved domestic fixture that just keeps on giving and that is always entertaining. But few of the millions who tune in to the M-Net channels every day realise what more than quarter of a century of making magic has meant to the South African economy – a contribution that runs to over R1 billion every year and many thousands of jobs.
Celebrating a quarter century of world-class television in style
On July 26 M-Net and MultiChoice are staging the ultimate show – a magical event featuring all the excitement, the glitz and glamour, the drama and laughs that will celebrate over a quarter of a century of broadcasting.
While details of the programme for the Galaxy of the Stars special gala event are being kept firmly under wraps for now, the evening promises to be an epic celebration of the very best in African entertainment – even the avid celebrity-spotters won’t be disappointed.
The Galaxy of the Stars event will be broadcast on M-Net 101 on Saturday, 9th August at 2pm and on Mzansi Magic at 21:30 and at 18:00pm on Vuzu.
